Dr. Gowda Sharath is a dedicated Internal Medicine and Geriatric specialist at SIH, with 13 years of service. Originally trained as a pediatrician in India, Dr. Sharath now focuses on adult and elderly care, driven by his commitment to providing the right medicine rather than just good medicine. His approach is rooted in integrity, prioritizing what’s best for his patients over merely pleasing them.

Dr. Sharath values the sense of community and family values in Southern Illinois, where he resides in Herrin. He appreciates the trustworthy and accommodating nature of the region's residents. In his role at SIH, he enjoys the direct patient interaction that primary care offers and is dedicated to helping his patients in every possible way.
