Level II Trauma Designation

SIH Memorial Hospital of Carbondale is the only Level 2 Trauma center in the region. Here, a team of specially trained trauma surgeons, orthopedic surgeons, neurosurgeons, trauma-certified nurses and support staff work with the hospital's Emergency Department to care for injured patients from across Southern Illinois.
